Sincere condolences to Anita and the rest of the families who mourn the loss of Felix.
Remember days when I was a kid when my Dad would take me with him to pick up fresh pork from Felix’s dad and Felix who raised pigs in Zanzibar (don’t know where else you could buy fresh pork in those days – yes wild boar meat was occasionally available) to cater to Goans pallet for ‘sorpotel’ and ‘Chorisao’.
Felix was my brother’s medic partner travelling to Bet El Ras dispensary to aid the locals there who could not travel to town.
Felix, may you rest in peace.
Best Regards,

YVETTE MUISE'S POST
A FAREWELL TO FELIX FERNANDES.
I remember Felix in Zanzibar as best friend of Alaric and Almira throughout our school days. Felix and Alaric had the best racing bicycles and they went a-riding all over Zanzibar.
Also, Felix was, at my request, a wonderful tour-guide to my daughter Anna Marie and her then fiancĂ© David 2020 , who remember Felix very well as TOUR guide PAR EXCELLENCE. Felix also took them to visit Almira and Dolly at my grandparents home in Sokomohogo Zanzibar. Anna Marie and her husband David have beautiful memories of Zanzibar because of Felix ‘s help. They send their sincerest condolences as well.
May Felix rest in peace and may he enjoy perpetual light shining upon him, and may he find rest in the bosom of our Lord, where Alaric, Almira and Dolly, and Mike also reside.
Farewell Felix and thank you too from me and all my family.
God bless.
Love.

BENNY & BETTY'S POST
Dear Anita and all of the Lobo and Vaz families.
Attached below are a few photographs with Felix and some friends.
Felix and I were great friends like brothers when we lived in Vuga Zanzibar, just about 100 yards between our houses and 5 minutes walk to our St. Joseph Convent School.
I cannot forget my dear friend who was always ready for a challenge and when I had to compete against him, I was always the loser.
Felix, Lawrence and myself took up boxing trained by professional boxer Eustace Pereira my bandleader/dance band STARDUST. Felix and Lawrence always beat me so I gave up. Lawrence was always outstanding.
Tried my luck at long distance running but could never beat Felix.
We enjoyed sword fencing as a fun sport and again Felix was the best.
Felix loved Electronic equipment especially cameras etc. He always had the best.
Very special thanks to Felix & Anita who were instrumental in me securing my Grandparents home 'Africa Bakery' when Felix phoned me asking me to come to Zanzibar ASAP letting me know the two caretakers who were looking after my two aunties Dolly and Almira who passed away were selling all the home treasures also claiming my aunties gave them the house. I made it just in time.
Thanks to Anita and Felix for all their support to include Tony, Bulu & Bieuba.
Every time I visited Zanzibar, Felix and Anita always welcomed me at their home.
May the Good Lord look after my good friend Felix and many of our other Zanzibari friends who are in Heaven and I know I will be joining them when I am called.
Anita take care and we wish you all the strength to carry on with your life after the big loss. I would strongly suggest you take a break and come to London where you are most welcome. Please consider this move. Thank you for your warm friendship over unlimited years.
Love - Benny & Betty
